I have a 5 month old infant that was hospitalized for a month. Obvoisly transporting the infant to the hospital counts as medical miles, but does the dailly travel to visit and care for the infant also count as medical miles.

Care includes feeding, diapers, medical procedures that would routinely happen in the home, learn how to do new medical procedures for when the infant returns home and to learn how to use new medical equipment that will be used in the home.

We have 2 children, both under 5. This year we will spend 24,000 in child care expenses. I am not sure how this will work on our taxes. I know you can claim child care expenses, but how much do you usually get back for child care expenses?

Are child care providers required to provide parents with yearly statements of what they paid? I was wondering if it’s an actual requirement because I’m having an issue with my child’s day care provider. She is not wanting to provide me with a Tax ID or SSN to file on my taxes. I requested this information about two months ago. Can someone provide me with a source? Is there anyway for me to report her?
